¯\_(ツ)_/¯It started in 2014. The New York Times officially printed the first shrug emoji in its hallowed pages, and something in us just... shifted. If the "Paper of Record" could finally admit that none of us really know what’s going on, we realized we had found our medium.
We decided right then to start a blog. But in the spirit of the shrug, we kept it entirely offline. For years, these entries lived in spiral notebooks, on the backs of receipts, and in a very chaotic Word doc that never saw the light of a router. It was a blog for no one, which—to be honest—is the purest kind.
But the notebooks are full, the Wi-Fi is calling, and the shrug is more relevant than ever. It’s finally time to put it online.
